Please join educators around the region for our Virtual Math PLC.We will meet to discuss instructional strategies for the math classroom that promote student engagement in the Standards for Math Practice. Area K-5 educators will meet September 15th, and November 13th, while our middle and high school teachers will meet October 23rd and December 11th. Southeast South-Central Educational Cooperative would like to partner with your district in supporting and coaching MSD teachers via a combination of virtual and in-person meetings. This MSD Cadre will focus on increasing the teacher’s abilities and retention rate. The project goal is to develop effective MSD teachers who provide high quality instruction to students with moderate and severe disabilities. Monthly support and coaching as needed will focus on increasing the teacher’s knowledge level and application of effective teaching practices with focus on literacy instruction. Each meeting will review updates, resources, and effective teaching practices. #sesccoop #servingyou

Teachers in the SESC region were offered the opportunity to learn about Growth Mindset from Chip Southworth. They learned about differentiated instructional strategies, questioning techniques, the importance of building relationships with students and colleagues, developing high expectations, and more. #sesccoop #servingyou

Consultants, Charlotte McCoy and Rhonda Bryant, presented Comprehensive, Balanced Systems of Assessment at Lynn Camp Middle/High School. Teachers explored different purposes for and types of assessment as well as several assessment tools. #sesccoop #servingyou
