Holly Hibbard, Karla Johnson, and Rhonda Bryant recently held a training on the Foundations of MTSS at SESC. Educators enhanced their understanding of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). This comprehensive training allowed educators to equip themselves with effective strategies that promote student success at all levels, diving into the core principles of MTSS, learning how to identify student needs, and discovering best practices for creating a supportive learning environment. They now have tools to build a framework that addresses academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs!

We need students to be more motivated and engaged in school."" This statement represents the number one request on most teachers’ wish list, and for good reason. Learning is a complex task that requires a commitment by the learner, which then drives their engagement with the work. Many successful and struggling students are unaware of this effect on their learning, so they attribute success or lack of it to forces beyond their control—they see themselves as naturally good or bad at school.
Participants in this workshop will learn new ideas and be exposed to engagement-increasing tools that help students develop better thinking habits, take more ownership in their learning, and help the teacher boost current practices to help students learn more and remember it longer. #sesccoop #servingyou
