Mental Health Initiative
The best predictor of student proficiency is academic engaged time. Critical to engagement is a student’s emotional and social well-being. Therefore, teachers must recognize and respond to the behavioral health needs of their students. SESC supports school districts by offering services for school personnel who interact with students to detect and respond to mental health needs. With appropriate interventions and supports, students with behavioral health challenges can continue towards college or a career and a successful future.
